Chicagoland English Country Dancers/ Chicagoland West International Folk Dancing
We are concerned with the safety of our dancers, but happy to be able to relax our previous COVID-related health policies. We still strongly recommend COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters, but no longer require them. Masking also is now optional at our events; however, we encourage mask-wearing for anyone who is concerned about illness for any reason, including the impact of potential illness on their schedule in the near future (such as their chance of attending upcoming events or visiting vulnerable persons).
Those who attend our dances need to understand and accept the following terms and conditions:
- Participating in English country dance — which necessarily requires physical activity and close contact with other persons — could involve a risk of serious physical injury and/or exposure to serious communicable disease. When choosing to attend Chicagoland English Country Dance events, participants acknowledge and accept that risk and waive any and all claims against the organizers, the dance locations, and other attendees, pertaining to illness or injury.
- If you feel sick, please don’t attend an event. We will offer full refunds.
- If you think you might have been exposed to COVID in the week prior to an event, please perform a rapid test at home and refrain from attending if it is positive.
- If you come down with COVID within a week of attending our dance, please contact us at ChicagolandECD@gmail.com, so we can make others aware of this (anonymously, of course).
The organizers also reserve the right to amend these conditions if the situation changes.
If you pre-register for one of our events, we will ask you to check your acceptance of these conditions.
