An Evening of Victorian Dancing

Miriam Attia 20121222-LRC84049 adjMiriam Attia will lead us in a collection of 19th-century couple dances and set dances–including the polka and that scandalous new invention, the waltz.  Miriam received her training in Victorian dance performance as a featured player in Mr. Fezziwig’s Christmas parties at California’s famed “Great Dickens Christmas Fair,” as well as through her involvement with Stanford’s Viennese Ball Opening Committee. She has taught Victorian dance to groups at Stanford and elsewhere in the Bay Area. (Photo credit: Larry Colen.)
